A Different View
Tonight I zoomed with girls I have been reading Proverbs with every day this month. For the last 10 days, Girl Talk Ministries has been zooming, FaceTiming or going live with girls all over the state.
Life no doubt looks completely different now than when we started Proverbs together at my house. But our Jesus has not changed. His Heart. His Passion. His Ministry. His Message. His Purpose. His Plan.
On my own, I am not good. There is nothing good in me. My flesh is weak. My desires are fleeting.
In Christ, He gives power. Strength. Boldness. Endurance. Wisdom. Love. Sound mind. Authority over the enemy. He gives us Himself. He gives us The Holy Spirit.
He will move mountains. He will turn our hearts toward Him. He will open our eyes. We will see Him. He will speak through us. He will work in us. He will change our lives and change lives around us. He will. He is ready to do it right now. He IS doing it right now. Because of Him, through Him, in Him and with Him, I see Him do it every day.
I sit in awe that I get to what I do. I certainly do not get the honor of walking with girls, seeing Jesus change lives and talking about Him constantly because of anything in me. I said yes to Jesus at 8 years old. I did not know if I knew Him but I knew I did not want to go one more day without Him. He has been my best and closest friend ever since.
In my flesh, it is not always Him I look to first. He has not always been my first. And when I look anywhere else in my flesh, I am empty. Jesus is always the only true satisfaction. Watching and walking with girls as they get it, dig deep and lean into Jesus will forever and always be the dream I will not sleep through. Thank You, Father! You are so good.
“My food is to do the Will of Him Who sent Me and to finish His Work,” Jesus told them. “Don’t you say, ‘There are still four more months, and then comes the harvest’? Listen to what I’m telling you: Open your eyes and look at the fields, because they are ready for harvest.” John 4:34-35
The time is now.
