Originally from Pike Road, Alabama, Amy Cate grew up with bare feet and a bow in her hair. She spent most of her childhood playing outside with her neighbors, making forts, shooting basketball, swinging her bat or driving her golf cart as the neighborhood shuttle. At nine years old, she met Jesus in the woods at summer camp and she is convinced everything good happens outside. Life as she knew it changed with one diagnosis and six months later, in 2005, her dad met Jesus face to face. Middle school started a few months later and she spent the next several years wondering where she would belong in a world not made for her. Girl Talk is the discovery of belonging in Christ and the dream and calling to bring girls and moms into that same belonging having Jesus as their best friend.
AMY CATE
Originally from Homewood, Alabama, Lindsey grew up with a single mom. She spent most of her childhood home alone while her mom worked, eating tv "dinners," dreaming of one day having a big home with a big family and lots of kids. Growing up, she saw Jesus through her grandmother and aunts, and though she had Jesus in her life, she knew she wanted what they had. It was not until after college, marriage, moving to a new city, having her first children and moving to another city, that her figurative “heart surgery” really began in 2005. She would see Jesus the way she had always prayed to see Him. Now married to the man of her dreams and mom to ten children, Girl Talk is the dreams she has seen come true in Christ and the calling to bring girls and moms into their dreams come true in Him.
LINDSEY CURL
Together, Lindsey and Amy Cate bring heart and laughter through their combined 20+ years of girls ministry, Lindsey being mom to four girls for over 21 years and Amy Cate being a girl serving in full time ministry for over 13 years. Lindsey is the party, Amy Cate is the helper, and together, Girl Talk is Jesus’ ultimate party for us! We are so excited you are here with us and we cannot wait to see all the good the Lord has coming!

All of our cities are led by City Moms who have a heart for moms and girls. Our team of City Moms is led by our leaders. City Moms oversee day-to-day happenings within our cities and are the point-person for gatherings, interns and donations within the city. Our small groups are led by interns who have typically been through Girl Talk themselves as middle schoolers and/or high schoolers. There is an extensive application process, year-round intern training and mandatory annual intern retreat overseen by our leaders. Throughout this discipleship process, we ensure that our interns are best equipped to lead all of our girls, at every age level, to the best of their ability being led by and empowered by Holy Spirit in them. We are thankful for this team that serves with us.
