Social media was not developed to give us life but to give us so much sight that it blinds us to true life. Much like the enemy came to steal, kill and destroy. But we know, Jesus came to give us life, life abundantly. (John 10:10)
Jesus is not a dopamine hit or a mindless scroll like reels, alcohol, binge-watching or social media. He doesn't want to just fix the moment for you to fill the emptiness again. He wants to fill your heart, your mind, your body with wholeness, joy and all of who He is so that in Him you have His peace regardless.
Kiss the Wave
Our relationship with Jesus should be our first thought, our first go to, our first strength, our first response, our first choice. Our relationship with Jesus is for everything to flow from and for everything to flow into. Walking WITH Jesus is our lifeline. When today is a struggle, crawl into your space with Him, kiss the wave that slammed you into The Rock and thank God Jesus is the Rock and not shifting sand. And stand there in Him.

No matter WHAT comes my way, no matter WHAT I have, no matter WHAT I do… He calls me His Own and He wants you to believe Him (John 14:1-4), seek Him (Jeremiah 29:11-13), trust Him (Ephesians 3:14-21) and live for Him (2 Corinthians 4) too. Thank You, Daddy! Thank You, Jesus! Thank You, Holy Spirit! For all that You have been, all that You are and all that You will be!

The Life I Thought I Would Begin Never Came...
To the girl in this picture, the life you think you are about to begin will never come. But the life that comes will be better than you could ever imagine.
The Idol of Image
Had I made this an idol? And if I had, was this consuming my identity? As I searched my heart, Holy Spirit filled me with His Peace. Then it later hit me, it was not about me. Our culture has made marriage the idol. The goal. The image. Our identity. In influencer couples. The beautiful photo shoots. The Pinterest boards and perfect wedding. The end all be all to happiness and satisfaction and worth. Our identity is not our relationship status.
Together We Are Whole
Every lie that the enemy has told you fails in comparison to The Truth. In the dark. In the light. In the quiet. In the surrounded. In the struggle. In the victory. The enemy knows where to hit you hardest and I know it is not always in the quiet and in the alone. It is everywhere.
Waves and Life
The rush will resume. And if we are not careful, we will have missed all the beauty The Lord has for us in it. We will have missed the abundance of Glory in the waiting. The fruit being planted in this season will root and produce on the other side. Inevitably.
Do not come to the other side with untilled soil. Without fruit. Or worst, with bad fruit. With no evidence of Christ in this season. He is right here. He has something for you. Miss what was. But do not miss what is. And do not lose sight on all that is to come. The rush will resume, what will you grow in this pause for when it does?

Not thousands of followers. Not hundreds of likes. Every single one of us, no matter our follower count or the amount of likes we have, is influencing someone or something. And honestly, you are influencing more than one, I can guarantee.
Leaving the teens
I am having real mixed feelings about leaving my teens in five hours. Sometimes I think how absolutely great it will finally be to no longer be a teenager, but then I always have the feeling of not wanting to grow up.
